For the month of April I have been busily working on a collection of Pebble Pocket Fairies to help Kailey with expressing her emotions through creative play. I have made up a little fairy tale but I thought I would start by introducing you to the characters starting with Miss Passionfruit!
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Passionfruit 💜
Miss Passionfruit is a delightfully quirky Pebble Pocket Fairy with oversized round glasses that are always slipping down her nose.
She’s curious, a little scattered, and full of bright, bubbling ideas—often talking to herself as she flits about collecting “interesting feelings.”
Her wings are speckled in deep purple and gold, like the inside of a passionfruit, and she has a habit of tilting her head as if she’s listening to emotions others can’t quite name.
She is closely linked to emotions of curiosity, intensity, creative energy, and emotional complexity.
Miss Passionfruit appears when feelings are tangled—when excitement and anxiety mix, or when someone feels deeply but can’t quite sort it out. She doesn’t try to simplify emotions; she celebrates their layers and helps others explore them with gentle fascination.
In her pockets (and often tucked behind her ears), she carries an eclectic mix of pebbles:
• Curiosity Pebbles – speckled and slightly uneven, encouraging questions instead of conclusions.
• Creative Spark Pebbles – warm and fizzy, igniting imagination and playful thinking.
• Intensity Pebbles – rich in colour, helping strong emotions feel expressive rather than overwhelming.
• Clarity Pebbles – translucent with tiny seeds inside, slowly helping thoughts settle into understanding.
When Miss Passionfruit gives you a pebble, it often comes with a rambling thought or an unexpected question. Somehow, in the middle of her quirks, things begin to make more sense.
She teaches that it’s okay for emotions to be messy, layered, and a little strange—sometimes that’s where the most beautiful ideas begin.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Orange 🍊
Miss Orange is a bright, spirited Pebble Pocket Fairy who moves with a warm, flickering energy—like sunlight at the end of the day. Her wings shimmer in amber tones, and her laughter is soft but contagious, often arriving just when it’s needed most.
She is closely tied to emotions of motivation, courage, and renewed hope. Miss Orange appears when someone feels stuck, drained, or uncertain, gently nudging them forward with a sense of possibility. She doesn’t rush change—she sparks it, helping others find the smallest ember of energy to begin again.
In her pocket, she carries glowing pebbles in shades of tangerine and gold. Each one holds a different emotional quality:
• Courage Pebbles – warm to the touch, steadying shaky moments
• Energy Pebbles – lightly buzzing, helping lift heaviness and fatigue
• Confidence Pebbles – smooth and bright, encouraging self-belief
• Hope Pebbles – softly glowing, reminding you that things can shift
When Miss Orange places a pebble in your pocket, it doesn’t overwhelm—it gently builds. A little more strength, a little more light, until moving forward feels possible again.
She teaches that even the smallest spark can grow into something powerful.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Pineapple 🍍
Miss Pineapple is a bright, curious little fairy who carries warm golden pebbles flecked with tiny sunlit specks. She wears a pair of slightly oversized round glasses that always seem to slide down her nose when she gets excited—which is often.
Her wings are translucent with a soft yellow glow, like sunlight through honey, and they hum faintly when she’s deep in thought.
Miss Pineapple has a love for ideas, questions, and the way things work, often carefully organising thoughts into tiny “mind shelves” inside her pebble home. She’s endlessly enthusiastic, gently leaning in to help untangle anything confusing or overwhelming.
She is closely linked to emotions of curiosity, clarity, problem-solving, and gentle understanding. Miss Pineapple appears when thoughts feel tangled, when things don’t quite make sense, or when someone is searching for answers. She brings a calm, thoughtful energy that turns overwhelm into something manageable, one small step at a time.
In her pockets (and neatly sorted in tiny compartments), she carries:
• Aha Pebbles – golden and softly glowing, holding moments of sudden understanding
• Curiosity Pebbles – light and speckled, encouraging gentle questioning and exploration
• Connection Pebbles – threaded with fine silvery lines, helping ideas link together and “click”
• Almost Pebbles – pale and unfinished, holding half-formed thoughts or feelings waiting to be understood.
When Miss Pineapple gives you a pebble, she often adjusts her glasses and offers a quiet observation or thoughtful question that helps everything feel a little clearer. Her gift is gentle clarity—helping you sort through your thoughts without pressure, guiding you toward your own understanding.
She teaches that even the most tangled thoughts can be patiently untangled, and that clarity doesn’t have to come all at once—just one small, thoughtful piece at a time.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Watermelon 🍉
Miss Watermelon is a soft-hearted, sun-warmed Pebble Pocket Fairy who carries the feeling of gentle joy after a long, heavy day. She has a calming presence—never loud, never rushed—just quietly reassuring, like cool grass under bare feet or the first sip of cold water when you didn’t realise how thirsty you were.
Her wings shimmer in shades of deep pink and fresh green, dotted with tiny seed-like freckles that glow faintly when she’s near someone who needs comfort. She often hums to herself, low and steady, as she works.
Miss Watermelon collects and carries pebbles shaped like smooth teardrops and rounded hearts. Each one holds emotions that people often don’t have time to process—lingering sadness, quiet overwhelm, the need to rest, and the relief that comes after a good cry. She gently swaps these for pebbles of soothing calm, small happiness, and emotional reset, helping others feel lighter without even knowing why.
She tends to visit at dusk, when the world slows down and feelings rise to the surface. If you ever feel a sudden sense of peace after a difficult day, it’s likely Miss Watermelon has passed by, tucking a soft, steady kind of joy into your pocket.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Elder Peach Fairy 🍑
Elder Peach Fairy is the gentle heart and steady guide of the Pebble Pocket Fairies. With soft, velvety wings in shades of blush and sunset gold, she moves slowly but with purpose, carrying centuries of quiet wisdom. Her voice is warm and calming, like the last light of day, and when she speaks, even the most restless fairies pause to listen.
She is deeply connected to the emotions of acceptance, compassion, and healing. Where others flutter in bursts of feeling, Elder Peach Fairy understands how emotions grow, soften, and change over time. She reminds the fairies that not all feelings need to be fixed—some simply need to be held.
In her well-worn pebble pocket, she carries:
The Soft Glow Pebble – for acceptance, helping fairies make peace with what is
The Mended Heart Pebble – for healing after hurt or loss
The Listening Stone – for patience and truly hearing others
The Sunset Pebble – for letting go and trusting endings
As the leader, she does not command, but gently guides. She gathers the fairies beneath the peach blossom tree at dusk, where stories are shared, feelings are sorted, and pebbles are chosen with care.
Elder Peach Fairy knows that even the smallest pebble can carry great weight—and that every fairy, no matter how small, has the strength to hold it.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Avocado 🥑
Miss Avocado is a smooth, sun-warmed fairy who carries mossy green pebbles with a soft, velvety sheens. Her wings are rounded and glossy, shifting between deep green and golden hues, and at her centre is a tiny “stone” that glows faintly when she’s content.
She has an unmistakably relaxed, slightly exotic charm—like she’s always just returned from somewhere warm and breezy. Miss Avocado adores simple pleasures, especially toast. Not just any toast—perfectly crisp, thoughtfully topped, and shared when possible. She’s known to appear at quiet breakfasts, adding a sprinkle of inspiration or a nudge toward slowing down and savouring the moment.
Miss Avocado collects flavours, textures, and sensory delights: a drizzle of honey, the crunch of seeds, the warmth of sunlight on skin. She believes nourishment is more than food—it’s about caring for yourself in small, meaningful ways.
Her magic is grounding and indulgent in the gentlest sense. Miss Avocado reminds you to pause, to taste, to enjoy—turning everyday rituals into something a little more lush, a little more intentional, and a lot more satisfying.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Lemon 🍋
Miss Lemon is a sharp-tongued little Pebble Pocket Fairy with translucent wings that shimmer pale yellow, like sunlight through citrus slices. She always looks slightly unimpressed, with a permanent squint and a tiny wrinkle between her brows, as if the world just isn’t quite meeting her standards. Quick-witted and fiercely observant, Miss Lemon notices everything—and she isn’t afraid to say exactly what she thinks.
Though she can come across as prickly or sour, Miss Lemon’s personality is rooted in honesty and protection. She believes feelings should be acknowledged, not sugar-coated, and she often steps in when others are avoiding difficult truths. Beneath her tart exterior is a deeply loyal fairy who values authenticity above all else.
Miss Lemon carries a carefully curated collection of pebbles in her pocket, each tied to sharper, more complex emotions. Her most treasured include:
A cloudy grey pebble for irritation, which hums softly when something feels “off.”
A jagged pale stone for frustration, often warm to the touch.
A dull yellow pebble for disappointment, worn smooth from frequent handling.
A small, surprisingly heavy pebble for resentment, which she rarely shows to others.
And hidden at the very bottom, a fragile, almost translucent pebble for hurt, which she guards fiercely.
Despite her sour streak, Miss Lemon plays an important role among the fairies—she keeps things real, calls out what others won’t, and reminds everyone that even the sharpest emotions deserve space to be felt.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Blueberry ✨️
Miss Blueberry is the gentle heart of the Pebble Pocket Fairies — the one everyone instinctively drifts toward when their feelings feel a little too big. She is soft-spoken, warm, and endlessly loyal, with deep indigo wings that shimmer like twilight. Miss Blueberry is the Best Friend — the listener, the hand-holder, the quiet steady presence who never rushes you to feel better, only to feel understood.
She is deeply connected to emotions of comfort, trust, and quiet reassurance, but she also carries the weight of shared sadness. Miss Blueberry doesn’t shy away from heavy feelings — she sits with them, holds them, and helps make them lighter just by being there.
In her pebble pocket, she carries:
A smooth navy stone for loyalty — it warms when someone needs reminding they’re not alone
A speckled blue-grey pebble for shared sadness — it absorbs tears and softens their sting
A pale, almost silver-blue pebble for calm — cool to the touch, it slows racing thoughts
A tiny, heart-shaped stone for unspoken understanding — it hums when words aren’t needed
Miss Blueberry has a quiet habit of pressing a pebble into someone’s palm without a word, offering exactly what they need before they even know how to ask. She doesn’t try to fix everything — she simply stays.
And somehow, that’s what fixes the most.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Apple Berry 🍎
Miss Apple Berry is a little… hard to read—even to herself.
Some days she is soft and sweet, offering gentle smiles and warm, steady comfort. Other days she feels tangled up inside, her thoughts like vines twisting in too many directions at once. She wants to help, always—but sometimes she’s not quite sure how, or even what she’s feeling.
Her wings flicker between deep red and dusky blue, never settling on one shade for long. Her apron pockets are full, but not neatly arranged like the others—her pebbles clink together in a quiet, uncertain chorus:
A half-polished red pebble for love, though it sometimes feels too big or too much
A cloudy blue pebble for confusion, which she turns over and over when trying to understand
A mixed berry pebble, swirled with colours, holding too many feelings at once—hope, worry, kindness, and doubt
Miss Apple Berry often pauses mid-step, mid-thought, mid-feeling. But there’s something quietly special about her—she understands that emotions don’t always come in neat, tidy shapes. And when others feel muddled too, she sits beside them, not to fix it… but to share in the not-knowing.
Pebble Pocket Fairy: Miss Cherry 🍒
Miss Cherry is a dainty, vintage-hearted fairy who carries rosy-toned pebbles with faint marbled swirls, like something tucked away in an old jewellery box. She dresses in soft, retro hues—cherry red, cream, and faded rose—and her wings resemble delicate lace, fluttering with a gentle, rhythmic grace.
She adores all things nostalgic. Miss Cherry collects pressed flowers, handwritten notes, and tiny trinkets that carry stories from the past. She has a habit of humming old-fashioned tunes and speaks with a warmth that feels like a memory you can’t quite place but never want to forget.
Miss Cherry is sentimental but not fragile—she understands that memories can be both sweet and aching. When someone feels lost in time, she quietly slips reminders of continuity and comfort into their world: a familiar scent, a comforting thought, a sense that the past and present can gently coexist.
Her magic is steeped in nostalgia and tenderness. Miss Cherry helps people honour where they’ve been while softly encouraging them forward, like a well-loved song that never truly fades.
